Long-Term Running Goals:

My long term goal is to run forever with my wife. We started this sport together two and a half years ago and I just enjoy sharing the pains, rewards, and health with her. Running has really fueled our relationship. It has really created something we both love and can share with each other.

Personal:

I am married to my favorite running partner. We have two young kids (6 and 4) so our training usually is a juggling act.

Headed out this morning in 20 degree temps. I ran ten miles nice and easy this morning and felt pretty good overall. Back on early running schedule and work everyday like everyone else, but it sure was a nice break last week.

Headed out early this morning with a little snow on the ground and still coming down. It was rather warm though and really not bad at all. I met Jeff at the corner and we looped the river and then a little ways down Sunnyside and back to get the ten miles. A really good run this morning as the company was great and the pace felt really good. Thanks for joining this morning Jeff.

Headed out early this morning with a little wind and snow. Warmed up for a mile and then decided to go little harder this morning. I ended up running the next ten miles at GMP and then cooled down for a mile. The last mile cool down was unintentional as I was headed directly into the wind for the last 3/4 mile. The pace was harder at first because my legs have been feeling a little heavy, but the further I got into it the better it felt.

Headed to the gym to due a ten miler this morning. Seen Marlin, Andrea, Deborah, Lynette, and Shannon all there doing their runs so the energy was great. Right off the bat my knee was killing me but I thought it might just be tight as I didn't feel anything yesterday. I tried to keep going to see if it would loosen up but it just seemed to get worse as I went. I decided at four miles I would probably benefit more from ice then running this morning so I called it quits for the day. The way it came on all at once I'm thinking it's probably nothing and will work it's way out through the day.

No run today, the back of the knee is still pretty sore. I'm thinking it might be related to my hamstring. They were pretty tight from Wednesday's run and then yesterday morning might have just aggravated something. Hopefully a little rest, ice, stretching, and ibuprofen will take care of it in a hurry. Just going to be cautious at this point. The last thing I want is to play around with an injury for the next few weeks.
