Long-Term Running Goals:

My long term goal is to run forever with my wife. We started this sport together two and a half years ago and I just enjoy sharing the pains, rewards, and health with her. Running has really fueled our relationship. It has really created something we both love and can share with each other.

Personal:

I am married to my favorite running partner. We have two young kids (6 and 4) so our training usually is a juggling act.

Lack of motivation early put me at the gym at about 9:00 today. I was feeling a little tired when I got there but all the people kind of energized me enough to get a good run in. The funny thing about it was I read Marlin's post before I went so I knew he ran early. Who do you think the first person I saw when I got there was?  Can't even wait three hours to do his second run for the day. We're going to have to do an intervention if he keeps it up:)

Terrible weather outside so I headed to the gym. Seen Jeff, Marlin, and Mauri all there this morning which was really nice. I hadn't seen Marlin and Mauri for a while so it was good to visit a bit with them. I warmed up for a mile on a treadmill and then moved to a treadmill next to Marlin. I decided on a pace run this morning and averaged right about a 6:45 for the last nine miles. A little slower the first half and a little faster from five on. I felt really good and the legs had plenty energy to hold pace this morning so maybe the miles are starting to pay off.

Had the day  off today so I headed out about 10:00 for a run down through SRL and around the river. A little overcast and a slight breeze kept it a little chilly. I just took it nice and easy as a recovery run and really enjoyed getting out in the middle of the morning.
